Vita isn’t Doing so Hot for Sony |
Listed in: News Tags: financial news, ps vita, ps4, sales numbers, Sony
Sony’s latest financial report doesn’t have much good news. Sales are down overall by 15 percent, and the Vita has seen another big cut in its sales forecast. Sony is blaming softer demand for its existing hardware (we got this same argument from Microsoft last week) and the public’s impatience for next-gen tech.

The Vita’s tale is particularly sad: In May of 2012, Sony predicted 16 million units sold. In August they dropped the number to 12 million, then again in November dropped it to 10. Now they’re expecting a total of seven million units, including both Vita and PSP sales. Ouch.
Here’s some PR speak from Sony:
“In the game business, Sony is working to expand sales and operating income through the introduction of an attractive software lineup and through offering game software on mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.”
Looks like that PS4 announcement can’t come soon enough. What do you think about Sony’s financials?

Secondly there are games but most of them overpriced aswell I enjoyed most of the games so far but only one which I real felt like it was a good investment was Wipeout 2048 30 dollars for quite a lot things to do in it. I havent mentioned uncharted cos it was free with my vita but that was an amazing game aswell
