Vita Getting Little Bonus For 3G Models

In the US, the Vita will be $250 for the non-3G model and $300 for the 3G model, both having Wi-Fi.

You probably already know that and have made up your purchasing decisions based on that, but note that the 3G model will indeed come with a bundle ‘worth $55’, so you may want to hold on I you’re thinking of getting Wi-Fi only…

The $55 of bundle content are as follows; an 8GB memory stick, 250MB of 3G and a currently unspecified PlayStation Network title. The PSN title, who knows what that could be?

What we do know that 8GB memory sticks go for $30, and the non-3G model won’t come with one, so this is quite a nifty necessity, as game saves and downloadable content needs a place to go to.

This may have swayed me in going for the 3G model, but if it has swayed you too, you may want to grab a pre-order now, as it is indeed a limited edition bundle.

It only costs Sony a few Dollars extra to put a 3G modem and GPS module in there so like shit am i paying £50 extra for the 3G version, i mean i reckon almost no one's stupid enough to buy it so i reckon in a few months the 3G version will be dropped to near the Wifi price, and if Sony has even the slightest common sense they should quickly drop the Wifi version price by at least 30%.

Most of the stuff that are put into these new devices are things that they have developed specifically for these devices. Something that may only cost a few bucks 2 years down the road may cost them much more currently. That probably isn't the case for 3G/GPS but you're talking like you only want to get the 3G version for only $10 more. That's like asking to buy an energy drink for $0.75 because it only cost them a few dimes to make a can. Companies apparently are NOT allowed to get a return on their efforts. Keep holding your breath though...maybe one day everything will be free and you still might complain.

wheres this info coming from? the first edition bundle has only a 4g card as does every other bundle sony has pushed out. if you get the 3g vita alone and expect to find an 8g mem cart in here get ready to be disapointed. the free psn game with att activation is confirmed.1 free month of the 250mb service plan sounds reasonable compaired to what docomo and vodafone are doing but havnt seen that confirmed anywhere. P.S. i have a 4g card with my hk vita and it gets full with just some demos so look into those 16 and 32s if i were you

i don't see the big deal. get the system play it have fun. more perks plz because i'm getting it and make that 3g PLZ. LOL kids. get a job have fun. life is too short. Sony make gaming systems, can you? if so them talk your price! I'M So NY. Go BIG BLUE!!!

Think you need to add to the article,you forgot to mention the first edition bundle. that bundle comes with everything originally planned but you get an additional game along with little deviants plus the 3g

you would agree that every very first model of all playstation consoles were the best ones in terms of quality just look at :Ps1,Ps2,psp,ps3.
Just take a look on the Ps3 the 60 Gb is still claimed to be the best Version, so waiting wo long isnt worthy at all. After some time Sony does always build in cheaper components to make the manufacturing costs of their Products cheaper...

nah not really...

PS1 had lens problems,
PS2 same thing, especially with the blue disks
PS3... yellow light blinking red overheating issue.

First gen models just isn't Sony's strength.... I mean... they even got rid of linux?

Inside or outside of Homebrew, is it possiblke to access and use the EE/GS chip while using the entire PS3 hardware? For instance, utilise the processing power of both PS2 and Ps3 at the same time in the same system.

Pretty sure the 80gb MGS version is the king of PS3 right now. CPU is just as strong but lower wattage so it doesn't consume as much power and also has all the great perks that the vanilla 60gb version had.
I'll have to disagree on the ps2 though. They liked to poop out after 2 years with disk read errors. PS1 and PS3 were great though.

Yep I'll have to agree with that my main man! I bought the MGS4 bundle PS3 when it came out and I haven't had a single problem with it since I got it. I've a few people with out PS3s that had laser issues but nothing has gone wrong with mines at all.

I might just be buying this now, I'll just get it from target with a 3-year warranty and whenever Sony releases a SLIM version of VITA for less money and more features in about 2 years or so from now, I'll just take my receipt and trade in my worn down Vita for a brand new one and even get my money back for the ineVITAble price drop. No loss here :)

I find that first generation consoles like the ps3 60gb and so on are always better, knowing Sony's track record of removing features in hardware revisions.

Its safe to that the psvita will be the same idea, i suggest get the first gen psvita knowing what might happen in the future.

I had a 60gb ps3 and i loved it, then 80gb came out and removed ps2 playback, just a example of what i mean.
Its silly to say the newer psvita models will be better, some cases its the opposites

I heard the games suck. I'll wait for a price drop, Slim version, 4G, etc.

System just isn't worth it to me.

that must be a Nintendo fanboy, because it has the best handheld launch so far and sony's best launch ever.. matter a fact i think gamecube maybe the only better launch then vita, games wise

It doesn't matter what system, when something new comes out the first batch of games at release will not be able to max out the system for the first year as the developers get use to making games for that platform.
I have to say, though, that Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Little Deviants seem to be the two launch games that utilize all the features and control styles the PS Vita has on board.

to all of you out there for one SONY does not care for its customers and second why pay so much for something that is said to do all sorts of things yet upon release SONY will have removed alot of things to "cut down on costs" like they did with the ps3 i.e. backwards compatibilty,li nux they have done it in the past so whats to stop them now so i for one will wait untill the price drops to $100 and i get to see what has been removed before i pay $300 and ill take a guess it will be the 3G that goes first and then the GPS next so save your money untill you see for yourselfs what goes and what stays

It's a new market, hand held are being replaced by smart phones and tablets....I don't see this selling well anywhere. Tablet features with too small of a screen, extra bulk added for controls for such a tiny screen....games will not be $2-$5 for it like on android and iOS devices....like I said, it's a new market now and consumers aren't stuck with just 2 choices anymore

Is it every preodered 3G model at any store? I know gamestop and Amazon have it for sure but it is hard to find out if best buy will have it anyone know? I want a vita a this is a great deal but I am making a giant move the next day so I am not exactly comfortable ordering it, and I refuse to go into gamestop. So is Best Buy having this deal please let me know
