Vita Games Cheaper When Bought Digitally

Those of you with big sticks will be happy to know that downloading your PS Vita titles will indeed be cheaper than buying the physical copies. A gamer was in a Best Buy store and took a naughty (but well executed) peak at the store’s computers, showing Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Little Deviants, Modnation Racers, Hotshots Golf and Escape Plan all 10% below their physical RRP.

He wasn't pulling this out of nowhere though, as Sony has since confirmed the pricing choice and while they didn’t say how much exactly all future titles will be (or if there even will be a set pricing pattern), they did say that Vita titles bought online via the PSN will be ‘subject to a discount’.

Juicy news indeed. Not as cheap as PSP games were when ‘downloaded online’, but if all online copies continue to be cheaper, piracy may indeed be held off for a bit.

Will you be downloading your Vita titles, or will you stick to old fashioned go-to-the-store and picking up a box off the shelf?

Errr cheaper? No. Most people rarely play a game more than once so if you sell the game in the first year you probably easily gonna get 30-60% of your money back so if you have even half a brain you'll buy physical, but if you rich or you just cry and get your parents to buy all your games then hey go for it.

The one game i WILL be buying digitally, if i get a vita, is little big planet.

I hope the fact that digital distribution is becoming common doesn't encourage developers to make 1GB or less games to make sure we don't not buy them because they are too large to fit on our Memory Sticks.

Not true in Russia. For most console games it's cheaper to import physical copy from the UK than buy digital or physical copy in Russia itself.
