Valkyrie Chronicles gets no US Love |

Valkyrie Chronicles is, as I'm poorly informed, a fantastically vast experience of Sony games that take the best of German and Scandinavian Mythology and add in the best bits Anime has to offer and package it all in a lovely little gaming suite that people like to call the PSP.
And whilst there is a big following in Japan, the US doesn't seem to have a big enough following according to the publishers at Sega. Gamespot explained the situation a bit better: "Sega's team manager of console sales team Hiroshi Seno confirmed that the game would not be localized due to the PSP platform not being popular and well-liked in North America and Europe. He also said that localizing the title for English-speaking audience would require past games of that franchise to sell a particular amount of quantities; he added that Valkyria Chronicles II did not sell enough to justify localization costs."
Whilst I could not agree more about the lack of love the PSP gets, in general, but still you'd think they'd at least ahve some plans to release it for the Vita, considering the hype that it's getting. There must be some kind of compromise...and I think there might be.
Last month, an amazing movement from gamers called Operation Rainfall convinced Nintendo Developers to release and localise a series of games which were stuck in the video game limbo known as Japanese Distribution. The games are now being ported for EU releases and hopefully Valkyrie Chronicles 3 will get the same treatment...for anyone with a PSP. I don't see why they don't just put in some subtitles and release it on the PSN Network. I don't imagine it'd be difficult to pay a translator something like twenty grand, go through the entire game with the writer and go for it...of course, I do not know, speak or understand any Japanese whatsoever.

same here, I'm sick of losing out on games because I do not know Japanese well enough to enjoy the experience.

Thank god for fan works. It gave us gems like Streets of Rage Remake and now Infinity in English.
Give it some time and i'm sure VC3 and Black Panther will be patched.
