Sony to give Vita SDK to developers via Beta

Are you a budding game developer with a good idea?
Can you program in C# and are working on either Windows XP or Windows 7?

Well you better sign up for Sony's open beta program for the Playstation Suite SDK. Oh and you have to be in the US, UK or in Japan. Sorry, Australian game developers who's jobs are in the toilet due to a substantiated amount of poor ports, unfair handling and financial problems.

The Playstation Suite is actually an iniative to design games and programs for the portable PS Suite which will be approved for devices such as the Sony P and S tablets, the upcoming Xperia phones and of course, the Playstation Vita. No word on any PSPGo Suites, but I guess too much time has passed.

I'm wondering why they went with C#? Hopefully they're looking for a lot of developers and people to work on apps for the phone which they can sell, iTunes Store style. Then again there's no Vista or Mac users allowed. Maybe it's for the best.

Very interesting. Supporting windows is a +1 for me, but C#... hmm it'll be something that's for sure. But the whole SDK sounds like Xcode, which is great. Comes with a PC emulator of the PS Certified stuff, including the PS Vita. The later will be interesting to see. My concern though is if the PlayStation Network will be like the App Store and have a limited regulation system or be more strict, but not to strict. Only regulate those obvious copyright infringed games that are everywhere on the App store and not have crappy game guides all over the place.

I own Ninja Gaming Studio's LLC and we just got a 1st party license with Sony but the software we use it Unity 3D because it will convert it to the Playstation format of your choice as long as you have a 1st party license check it out you can download a 30 day trial free its a full version for 30 days or buy it for $1500..
