Downloadable games appears to be much cheaper than its retail counterpart.

Some new details about Sony's next gen portable today. According to a report from ASCII (via Andriasang), an SCEJ rep has confirmed that the 3G version of PlayStation Vita will have a 20MB capped limit for 3G downloads, though the rep added that this value could change in the future. This could mean that downloading full games will likely only possible via WiFi, which is not bad, since 3G download speeds are too slow anyway.
Now onto the pricing scheme of the Vita. It appears like the downloadable version of Vita games will have a much lower price point than its package counterpart. As reported by Andriasang, Square Enix has officially revealed the Japanese pricing for their upcoming Vita launch title Army Corps of Hell. The retail version of the game will be priced at ¥4,980 while the download version on the other hand will carry a ¥3,990 price tag. Sony hasn't said anything about the pricing scheme of the Vita games yet, so this is a big change of direction, unless its only Square Enix specific.
The PlayStation Vita will arrive in Japan this December. We, on the other hand will have to wait until next year to get our hands of the PSP successor.
