PSVita to get Skype, Twitter, Facebook and more free |
Listed in: News Tags: digital distribution, Facebook, new media, ps vita, Skype, social media, Sony, Twitter

The PS Vita is hotting up to be the must-have multi-touch tech for the coming year. Whilst people in the past have been speculative about the technology and what it could do, the current application line-up is quite interesting. With several main social-networking apps being thrown into the ring, we could easily see PS Vita be as popular as Google's Android.
With Facebook, Foursqaure, Twitter and Skype, you could be connected all the time and could majorly influence an American-based market. With the camera, 512 RAM, possibly 3G, Playstation games and a big fanbase, PS Vita may be the must have item of next year.
Sony may need to prioritise whether more people will be buying the handheld as a piece of technology as a games device. A lot of people have claimed that the schizophrenic marketing and re-do of the classic PSP was to explain Sony's misapprehension when it came to creating something to serve gamers (i.e. long time fans) and new customers.
Will you be getting a PS Vita and if so or if not, why?

What was wrong with the XMB? I better be able to add or remove icons to the "desktop".
Also, Netflix.

And no, it's been confirmed that the analog sticks to not 'click' so no R3 or L3
But you have a multitouch screen and a read touchpad, so I'm not complaining.

The bubbly menu reminds me of Dreamcast, nice to have it back.
I'll definitely buy a PS Vita but maybe a few weeks after because there might be more offers (PS Vita + 5 games) or so and at a reasonable price.

check this out and will find out that the menu is actually good.

Since Microsoft bought SKYPE earlier this year.
I am surprised that it will be still using SKYPE for the VITA.
I still want a good web browser for the VITA, and it better have it. Also better get netflix like the 3DS as well.
