PS Vita Stumbles into the 2.2 Million Sales Milestone |
Listed in: News Tags: call of duty, GAMESCom, LittleBigPlanet, ps vita new releases, ps vita sales
As confirmed, June 30th was the real day in which those sales numbers came to fruition, but it was not until today that such data became public knowledge. Launching in February at a steep $250 price tag, it certainly has been a long and tumultuous ride for Sony's handheld. With developers still in constant question of how this new device will fare, Gamescom did give us just a little bit of hope that some great new titles would be on the way.

Regardless, many of those games have yet to be released; and with the 3DS reaching that milestone almost five times faster than Sony, maybe there is still a little bit of cause for worry when it comes to the system. To make things even more difficult, Sony has also admitted that no price cuts will be on the way for their machine, which hasn't given gamers much of a reason to pick this console up. With LittleBigPlanet and Call of Duty on the horizon, only time will tell if the Vita is in fact a blunder in PlayStation history.
The number don't lie though. Are you one of the 2.2 million, or have you yet to buy into this piece of tech?

Nintendo is now at 19M generally because of the drastic price cut and backwards compatibility.
So I understand why they are not gonna cut their prices for the year.
Do enlighten me if I am mistaken.
Thank you and God Bless XD

but at this point, i'd still say 3DS is a better investment, at least for now
