PS Vita games will have no instruction manuals |
Listed in: News Tags: ps vita instruction manual, ps vita rumors
I remember travelling far and wide many years ago (an hour drive to the nearest pebble beach in Brighton, UK) and getting a copy of an X-Men game for the Gameboy Color. Being enthralled by how I expected the trip to be, I had made a stern point of not bringing my Gameboy with me, and had decided to leave my Gameboy at home, instead packing suntan lotion (It remained unused).
Without any means to play the game, I spent 3 solid days in a warmer-than-outside hotel room reading the manual, which was about 6 pages long, and it kept me going, something to look forward to when I got home. Game manuals are something that you never learn from until you need to, but reading them nonetheless reminds you of whatever new game you’ve just bought and look forward to playing.

That’s all gone now with the PS Vita as IT Media, a Japanese website, got their hands on a PS Vita package a day early (it releases tomorrow in Japan).
Vita game boxes are roughly the same size as a 3DS game box, but are going to be considerably lighter and easier to carry, as manuals are now non-existent. You’ll now be treated to a single page, explaining how to use the PS Vita’s game cards.
It may get repetitive after a while, but at least that’s something to read.
Are you miffed at the exclusion of a manual, or are you happy that you have less reason to keep game cases?

Yep, and they are annoying as hell.." Use your Stick to move....WHAAAAAT?
They should start asking " are you a experience gamer?? yes no?

Sucks though because I like opening a case to see more than just a disc or memory card inside. But it's all in a bid to become more eco-friendly.

Exactly, look at the size of that "Earth poisoning" plastic case, what a waste of space.. on the other hand you can recycle paper..
I am pretty sure the size of the case is due the fact they don't want to look like a 3DS / NDS cartridge ..and more like a "WOW is almost like a BD package"!!!!

mostly, i just discover which controls to use and what are the contents of the game.
heck, iPhone/iPad games also doesn't have manuals for them and i just play it to know its controls and how good it plays.
well, for me manuals aren't that important. it won't even ruin your experience with the game.
most pirates would probably agree with me coz pirated games also don't have manuals.

Oh...is that so....
Then I look forward to playing my VITA Isoz. Since you don't get a manual with an Iso, and now you don't get manuals with the games....all the more reason!
