Playstation All-Stars Release Pushed Back to November |
Listed in: Games, News Tags: heihachi, jak and daxter, playstation all stars
According to a post made on the official PlayStation Blog, the game supposedly is running a little behind in its development cycle. Instead of expecting to see this game on October 23 like had been planned, the games final release date has now been pushed back to November 20th instead due to some concerns about the games level of overall quality.

PlayStation All-Stars is a game that has been under some pretty intense scrutiny ever since its announcement. While most gamers simply call this the "Sony version of Super Smash Bros.," the team behind this game's development has done its best to assure us that this game is anything but a copy cat. I mean, what other game would allow you to put Heihachi and Jak and Dexter in the same ring to battle it out for complete supremacy? The answer to that is absolutely none. Through the use of a combat system that relies a bit more on a character's special moves rather than classic fighting mechanics, to those that have played it, there is certainly a different feel to this game that many won't expect. With a cross-platform release on both the PS3 and the Vita, this is a game that will certainly be on our radar in the coming months.
In the exact words of head developer president Park Chan:
"This [new release date] will let us spend more time polishing and tuning the game, and it will give us a chance to incorporate some of the great feedback we're receiving from the current limited beta to ensure we are creating the best possible fighting game experience,"
There you have it. The good news is, the longer wait certainly seems to indicate that we will be in for a much better final product.
