There's no real denying that QJ is one of the best websites for all the gaming news out there, but this passed week was truly an example of just how much news we cover. Whether you are a diehard PC gamer still lamenting your purchase of SimCity, or even a portable Vita player than this is the recap for you. In all senses and ways, this is one of the most diverse Confessions of a Gamer I have ever composed. That alone should make it worth your while.
Dead Space 3: Too Much Action A Little Too Late?
The Dead Space series has always garnered a lot of respect from the gaming community simply due to the fact that for those that played it, it scared the pants off of us. However, in development of Dead Space 3, EA took a huge risk with those scary gameplay ideas and turned the game into a much more action-oriented series. To some developers, changes such as this were called a "necessary evil" of the industry that works in an effort to appeal to a larger install base, but apparently since sales are down over twenty-five percent of what Dead Space 2 was doing, it makes us all wonder how true that really is.

With all this talk of declining sales of course comes the rumor that Dead Space 4 has been completely cancelled. So what do I think of this? I personally wouldn't be that surprised considering there is an apparent waning interest in the franchise. The problem with making Dead Space more action-based means that EA already produces several properties that are similar to it. For example, Mass Effect in a lot of ways offers the same kind of thrill, so I could see them maybe favoring that over the more zombie-based concept. In terms of what I think they should do, Dead Space clearly needs a bit of a break. When and if it does come back, the entire story should be rebooted to be less confusing and more terrifying. As much as developers seem to think horror games are dying, I think the lack of good scary games mean that there is actually a demand for it now.
Should Microsoft and other console makers be worried about the Steam Box? My take is just a click away!

Yeah I mean Nintendo I think will be different without him, but I mean you never know we could be headed back to when Nintendo was truly king if some new blood gets in there. You just don't know what can happen.
