Those of you in the UK will no doubt be more than familiar with Vodafone and their rule over most mobile phone networks, mobile broadband and even home phone lines.

What you might not be aware of when talking about Vodafone are good prices. They’re usually pretty expensive (their PAYG price plan costs me over 30p a min to call other Vodafone numbers in the country, whilst another network gives me 1p a min to call abroad! Daylight robbery, the pricks.)

With this in mind I had to read twice when I came across their latest videogame related offer on their website. If you get a Vita, your 3G will be through Vodafone (AT&T in the US).

You can buy the Vita from Vodafone at £279. Sounds expensive right?

Well not really, as it does come with a 4GB memory card, and a little offer that makes up for the price if you’re a Wipeout fan; top up your 3G by £5 and you get Wipeout 2048 at a discount of…100%. That’s right!

So for a total of £284, you can get a 3G enabled PS Vita, a 4GB memory stick, £5 worth of 3G and Wipeout 2048 to use your 3G on.

Not bad.
