I enjoy Facebook from time to time. Keeps me in touch with people who's relationships possibly should have degraded a long time ago and also for those who want to 'Like' the stuff they really like and let everyone know about it. But if you woke up this morning and tried to log in to Facebook on your Vita, you would have been a tad upset.

A standalone Facebook app was there and ready for launch earlier this week but it's been pulled because users have found that it just does not work. If you attempt to use the app, you'll get the NP-13144-3 code, which according to Sid Shuman from Playstation is the error that comes up when there was a change to Facebook and it's causing issues with the app." Or simply the app fucked up code.

I never understood gigantic codes for errors in computing technology.  I imagine if they forgot someones birthday, they wouldn't give a belated card, they'd just send them a manual for how come they forgot, but only in algebraic equations....I'm just playin....the devs do some great work. So yeah, the Facebook app is no longer downloadable off the SEN store and Sony is working on a fix.

I'm more prominent on Twitter and have more followers than friends at the moment, but I do like Facebook being cheaper than sending a text. Luckily the Vita has a Twitter app too.

About the only useful App Vita will ever have too and already screwed it up, i mean may not be Sony's fault (This time) but Vita's already been screwed up in so many ways i don't think it's image can take much more.

Dude... everything up until now are minor issues and most probably will be fixed. I don't see any major drawbacks to Vita yet. Not to mention future fw updates. Who knows maybe we'll get Flac and phone with some Vita updates ;-) I'm far from giving up on this little beast.

Sorry but no UMD Passport in the west, no announcement when they'll allow Ps1 playback, PSN games only costing about 10% less than physical and handheld games that are costing almost the same as their gone console equivalents and this is just a few of the highlights, and that's not to mention the fact their advertising just makes it look like you buying another Psp and even the mainstream press and news always talk about how it's expected to fail, so really Sony should be on Vital like a rash on a lepper because it has absolutely everything going against it, so while the screwed up Facebook App is admittedly a small issue on it's own it is just another straw which is heading towards breaking Vitas back.

PS1 games are confirmed coming.
The Facebook app is not their fault.
Skype is coming.
Full PS3 remote play is coming.
You're an idiot.
Vita is selling very well.

All are facts.

I'd like te see it succeed as much as the next idiot because sometimes i want more than just my phone to play with, but the console market's changed and people expect their devices to do everything, but Sony pretty much just wants Vita to do gaming and adding these extra features are just a hollow effort to make it look like it does more, i mean I've never seen any Sony App or feature like browsers as anything better than mediocre and the people who buy Psp & Vita just aren't interested in that extra stuff so Vita will never expand to get the casual market which is the only chance it has to survive.

It does everyone I need it for. Actually, I have an Xperia Play because I like gaming on the go, and every feature my phone has, my Vita has including better games. It replaces it but I have to carry it around still because I use it to make phone calls. I don't see how that was hollow.

The Twitter app for the Vita is the best app for anything ever made. Seriously, I love it way more than using my computer browser for Twitter.

Meh i can care less about twitter and facebook, stays a 10000000000000km away from that stop.

Vita for life 8) Though flac would be awesome on the psvita, knowing how good the media player, certainly puts my creative zen xfi to shame :o . Its certainly a beast, and the Oled screen rocks for outdoor use. I swear it absorbs sunlight.
