PS Vita owners: it looks as if you will be able to get your hands on some Dead or Alive 5 action next year, and it will come with its own little twists to help you get the most out of your handheld.

Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi confirmed the upcoming release of Dead or Alive 5 for the PS Vita, noting that it would ship under the name of Dead or Alive 5 Plus. No specific release date has been set at this time, but look for it in early 2013.
When discussing Dead or Alive 5’s move to the Vita, Hayashi said: “DOA5's arrival on a new hardware will bring new players to the existing communities and for our loyal and core fans like everyone gathered today can now practice and brush up their skills anywhere they want.”
As for what Vita owners can expect from the game, he added, “Be assured that features which are appealing as the DOA5 Plus name reads are planned.” This probably points to the fact that you can look forward to some special features exclusive to the Vita.
