Canadians are Getting 3G PS Vitas This October |

In the US the PlayStation Vita was available in both wifi and 3G versions at launch. But their neighbors to the north where not as fortunate to receive the same options. This was rather disappointing to many potential early adaptors of the new handheld. That’s all about to change.

On October 2 Sony will be launching the 3G version of the PlayStation Vita to the great white north. The new 3G PS Vita will be making its debut in Canada at $299.99 and will come with vouchers for Gravity Rush and Unit 13. 3G service will be available through Rogers as two different service plans: 250 MB for $15 a month or 5 GB for $35 a month.

So if you have been holding off for the 3G PS Vita then now is your time to celebrate. But don’t be fooled because although you can use 3G for things like Facebook and Flicker you will not be able to connect to the PlayStation Store or play your games online.
