Call of Duty on Vita is a "game changer"

Sony's ignorance and overly imaginative positive nature is a delight in a largely antagonistic and pessimistic game world, but sometimes it can be a bit worrying. Especially when you're me and the feelings I have about Call of Duty could stretch in the measurement of hate from here to the moon.

So with the FPS series coming to the Vita when Guy Longworth, who may have the funniest name in Sony production history, talked about the game being "an absolute game changer" for the handheld console.

This quote with a bit of marketing, may be a way to sell the console down the line, but I'm not sure how big of a game changer this could be. Whether the game will be a full title with a sweet multiplayer kick or just a Blops2 port dropped on us from the Activision dragon, is of course yet to be announced.

I kinda like the idea of a third-person shooter of CoD on the Vita, but I'd like it to be a full FPS title with multiplayer. I'm not convinced unless I can blow it up on my TV and play with the PS3, which, if it is a port...I'll just get the PS3 version.

Not interested at all but I have a feeling it will probably be a tie-in with the next console CoD (Black Ops 2 was it?). Probably have a new story that somehow relates to the console one and I'm thinking cross-platform multiplayer. Just so if the game fails on the Vita it's servers are shared with a successful console game

Hey i'm not a fan of CoDs dominance but Vita needs something to get people buying it to slow down it's inevitable demise, because very soon it's gonna have nothing but Crappy games just like Psp, but i guess CoD has the best chance to get the casual gamers on this thing and developers might take longer before they desert it.

I'm not sure where you get this "inevitable demise" nonsense from. Do you know something about the western release that the rest of us don't? Just because it had a slow start in Japan, doesn't mean it will suffer the same fate in the west. The release titles weren't especially "Japan-friendly". Uncharted, for example, is big in the west, but less so in the east.
Even if the initial run of the Vita is weak, titles like CoD and Bioshock will change that. I'm not a huge CoD fan, but it is a console mover and the biggest franchise in the world at this time, so I'd expect an outrageous sales spike when it eventually find its way to Vita.

How much did that really help? Just count up the decent games (Maybe 10) on Psp and you have your answer.

And i dont think most people will be too concerned if its going to fail or not.If theyre going to buy it its worth the price out of the box and the games are an added bonus.

I actually would have loved it if Psp had a load of cheap Shovelware because at least you'd have some choice, but instead you mainly got expensive Shovelware with nicer graphics, and even if you take your list that works out less than 3 quality games a year on a major console.

I wasnt trying to be technical with the numbers but i could probably make an argument if your only worried about choices.If a person bought it being their only device and it only played psp games i could see a problem but you had plenty of other options at the time with the ps2 and xbox etc.

I was basically just trying to point out how you were being ignorant and a bit arrogant yourself after getting on sonys ass for it.
