As a franchise, Call of Duty is one of those few industry rarities that knows how to create a worthwhile experience both offline and online. Through the construction of massive campaigns that take gamers across the world to examine the trials of warfare, there are plenty of gamers who stick to the single player modes without even taking a peek at what the online world has to offer. Still, with the upcoming Black Ops: Declassified for the PS Vita Activision is hoping to tip the scales towards the online side of things.

When  playing the latest build of the game, according to Nihilistic Software's CEO Robert Huebner saw that there was indeed a massive shift in priority as to how the game itself is played and utilized. In his own words, its "not about the big campaign storyline and huge cinematics, it’s more focused on the multiplayer essence of Call of Duty and bringing that to a portable device as completely as possible." What will this mean in terms of ratings for the single player campaign has yet to be seen, but if that's the way things are headed, I'm sure that's something we're all interested to know.

Secondly, Huebner also took the chance to comment on how the game should not be looked on as a simple Black Ops port for the Vita. He says that the title itself has been redesigned from the ground up to make full use of Sony's powerful console, and that this game should be looked at as a completely new entry  into the Call of Duty universe. However you would like to classify it, Black Ops Declassified will be launching on November 13th alongside Black Ops II. We'll have to see how faithfully the experience is captured on that release date!

This is is going to make or break my decision to buy a Vita. It has been on my radar since it was announced on the day the Vita was unveiled. If this is a full COD multiplayer experience (albeit with limited maps and what not) then that Vita COD bundle just got very enticing.
