Sony Confirms LittleBigPlanet Vita Broken Release Date |
Listed in: Games Tags: LittleBigPlanet, ps vita, Sony
Yesterday we reported that some pics were making the rounds on Twitter of gamers with their hands already on the PS Vita version of LittleBigPlanet. While it was wondered how they were able to play the game well ahead of its release date, Sony has just confirmed why it happened.

LittleBigPlanet for the PS Vita was originally set to be released on September 25. With that release date over a week away, it came as a surprise that some were posting pics on Twitter of the game on their Vitas. Certain Gamestops were apparently selling the game already, making it a wonder if there was some sort of mixup along the way. Well, it wasn’t a mixup, as Sony admitted that they decided to authorize the sale of LittleBigPlanet Vita ahead of time since production of the game was completed ahead of schedule.
While you can pick up LittleBigPlanet Vita early, you’ll have to wait until September 18 for online functionality to kick in. Regardless, if you were planning on getting the game, its early release should be a pleasant surprise.
