Sony believes in Vita sales |

When the PS Vita was launched back on the 17th of December in 2011 people were hostile and negative even before the line's started to queue in Japan and China. It seems in the US that the negativity still continues but Sony still stays bright as ever for their launch later this month. According to sale aggregator Media Create, Sony only managed to sell 18,942 units last week, out of the total 535,423, it's sold already. This doesn't phase Sony for a second.
CFO Masaru Kato said that having sold 500, 000 by the 10th of January was "as a start, [he thinks Sony] had a very - a good start...including hardware and software, [Sony is] carrying out the sales promotions and we do it to boost the sales and we do not think we have any problems." Whenever I find one of these stories - I feel like this site gives me an injection of Sony fanboy-ism - and I think you know, Sony might have something up their sleeve and will be pulling out something huge. It could be the fact that international press for the item has been going over well. I know that I'll be playing the console on Wednesday and that it's gonna be a hell of an interesting thing to actually try it out.
Hardware marketing boss for Sony, John Koller has made similar comments in the past saying that he insists the Vita is selling to forecast and that Sony isn't worried about the drop in sales post-Christmas. I think Sony is thinking the Western sales both here on the 23rd and on the February 22nd in the US that Sony might bounce back, and who knows it could be an amazing year for the guys...or it could all blow up in their face and they may drop out of the handheld market...but hey, the PSP Go didn't stop them.
I always feel Sony doesn't have any arrogance about their consoles. It's just their ad campaigns and a few of their main characters that show off that problem. Sony itself seem like just the big entertainment/hardware company they've always been and that the problems they've experienced in this era have made them more humble, knowing the failings of not working with your audience or your customers properly and how that can bite you in the ass hard.

Sony - please listen! Its not the cost of your new console that is prohibitive, its the retarded pricing structure for its memory. Where the hell do you get off trying to charge $100 for 32gb of flash memory? Its the same crap everyone else makes, in a proprietary size format. Nothing about it makes it worth x2.5 the price of competing memory formats. Fix this, now!

Who is everyone else?
because im counting the days to grab my own PS VITA. im checking YOUTUBE almost daily to see the gameplay videos.
nintendo fanboys, PS3/xbox 360 owners who believe their respective consoles are better, go and play with them, instead of marginating PS vita.
Im a handheld fan, and to see these graphics on a portable device is my thing.
I don't care if i keep seeing articles saying "PS VITA SALES IN JAPAN ARE GETTING WORSE" i will but my PS VITA and enjoying it, the rest of the gaming world may
just f** up.

Wifi/3G - $300. 4G would have been way better.
Games - $49.99-59.99
Lineup - Very small
Other games - Coming by the end of May.
I don't see this going well at all.
