MGS HD On Vita Has 'Interesting' Controls |
Listed in: Games, News Tags: metal gear solid, MGS, mgs hd, mgs on vita, mgs touch controls
With the new Metal Gear Solid HD Collection currently at number 2 on the UK charts (beating Soul Calibur V, released on the same day. Hah!), Kojima can see the interest in the collection and is keeping the hype going with childish tidbits of information being released here and there, first with a screenshot of the game on a Vita and now we have some information about the controls. Exhilarating.

Kojima mentioned that the game will use the Vita’s touch panel on the back, with gamers being able to slash a poor innocent guard’s throat with a quick finger across the back. You can also manipulate the camera in some way, but Kojima’s English is as good as my Mandarin so it’s tricky to make out what was meant by ‘if you pinch out left and right on the real touch panel with first person camera, you can stretch up yourself’.
Being an autistically obsessed fan of MGS, I’d put money on Kojima meaning sidestepping and tiptoeing. Maybe next he'll make a world exclusive announcement on whether the game will feature subtitles.
