The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim is one of the best looking and most realistic game to release this year, but there are several little things that can be done to add to the immersion.

It was confirmed that Skyrim will have a marriage mechanic. We don't know how fleshed out it will be, but I'm hoping it's not something as simple as getting 100 disposition with a female character and giving her a ring. If done right, marriage can be a great addition to the game depending on how players want to use it.

A dynamic season system will really add to the immersion in Skyrim. Oblivion had random season effects, and due to this, it would sometimes snow in the Summer. A dynamic season system would make it so that it would snow everywhere in the Winter time.

Random weather effects would be nice, too. Thunderstorms and rain would be fantastic if they aren't used only in scripted instances. There's nothing cooler than a random rain storm. It makes the world feel more authentic.

# all it needs is a little something like morrowindshveet 2011-07-07 23:38
Get Rid Of The Fast Travel System. all im gonna say. morrowind was amazing to explore because it FORCED you to. and the fast travel was removed so the game required you to find a striker, pay a fee and your off or join the mages guild to more around to places. this is an RPG not some adventure game were you needa do everything as fast as possible.

There's always people who loved morrowind that say this. And my response is, Bethesda aren't going to go backwards. Oblivion was better than morrowind, and yes I have played both. Morrowind was terrible, there were no character voices, it was all text based etc. Don't want fast travel? don't use it then. There were many ways in oblivion to travel, if you had the mages tower you could use thst at your house to travel to any major city.

lol... yeah, that lack of voice-acting was a real sinker................

I agree with shveet tbh. Fast travel is really too enticing not to use when given the option and it takes away from the immersion. I think hired chariots, blink spells and better horse/dragon riding mechanics would make for more immersible gameplay.

Granted though, fast travel is convenient for quick gaming sessions and off-loading loot... but at the same time, I never really thought of the elder scrolls games to be games catered towards 'quick' plays. Also, it's really easy to make thousands quickly in oblivion, partly due to the speed at which you can get loot and then off-load it with fast-travel.. maybe looting is too easy as it is.

I THINK A MAGIC SPALL TO MAKE YOU A DRAGON FOR A LITTLE BIT WOULD BE COOL
