PoV: New Black Ops DLC confirmed

Will you be picking another US$ 15 worth of "remastered" Zombies maps?

Activision will be squeezing out all of what's left of Treyarch's multi-selling shooter as they confirmed today the fourth piece of DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Dubbed as the "Rezurrection” map pack, the upcoming DLC contains four "remastered" Zombies maps; Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa, and Der Riese, an all new zombiefied Moon level, an enhanced zombie-themed soundtrack that includes three tracks never before available for purchase and a new Moon Xbox 360 theme.

The cost of the DLC? Another US$ 15 or 1200 Microsoft Points but will be free of charge to Hardened and Prestige edition owners. It will be available first on the Xbox 360 on August 23, with other platforms getting the DLC at a month later.

So, all in all, the Rezurrection DLC will give you just reharshed maps of Call of Duty: World at War with only one brand new map and a couple of extra contents to make the contents appear worthwhile. Another quick and easy way from Activision to make money out of their loyal customers. And Modern Warfare 3 is just two months away.

its so replicated...not original anymore...just the same over and over again and people dont care...i like IF better than 3arc but this is gettin dumb..really taking advantage of people..i dont mind spending money on a game but when they release dlc that turns out to be more than the game,then i have a problem..no more dlc for me

tbh the amount of time I can spend playing the zombie mode the maps have been well worth the money. this one comes with the originals as a bonus so its even better.

I dont play blops mp because, like w@w its shit and so have been paying £11 just for zombie maps anyway. now you could say "oh you could but a new game for the money you would have spent" but theres few games that get released that are really good and hold my attention like the zombie mode on blops. (Ive have la noire in front of me for a week and its good but I keep finding myself playing shangri la)

sort of like quantity vs quality, not that Im saying the maps have been quality made because they haven't, mapping errors (look at cotd floating geometry, alpha problems even game changing path glitches that remind me of the type of thing you could do on the megadrive/snes games) etc all over the shop but they are fucking fun which is more important than anything else.

I do think they are over charging and the fact the 360 gets them a month earlier takes the fucking piss but its not really a waste of money if you get enough enjoyment from it.

also...
the fact that mw3 comes out soon is irrelevant because its a different game by different people and wont include zombies.

Honestly I think this move is just to rub it in our faces that if you dont buy SUPER DUPER ULTIMATE EDITION you have to wait until the next instalments almost out before you get the goods. Because its free to them.

I got hardened MW2, all I got was an avatar helmet, really? That's so on par with a $15 dlc.

And to all the waw owners all you get is new skins and guns. and 1 map for $15...

I think "Musev" would change his tune if zombies was available as a standalone arcade game.

I'm not doubting the new moon map, it'll probably be the bees knees but I'd pay at the most $5 for just that map only. 15 divided by 4 is not 5 btw, wouldnt it be fare to all parties?

If it isnt for the vs multiplayer then no. I'm still addicted to it, they need a update with like guns or perks, that would be nice....but if it was free then yea. im saving my money on this dlc

I got the hardened edition of the game so I get it free anyway, but even if I had to pay, I'd still buy it. The zombies mode is the only reason I really like COD anymore. The series is God awful and MW3 will just be more disappointment. The one mode that's still fun is zombies. It's so much more contained because it promotes playing with people you actually like to achieve a common goal. You aren't playing with a bunch of people that are just trying to beat their own team. So yeah, maybe they are milking the game, but Nazi zombies has always been worth it.

Honestly? its not really so bad, for those of you who got the special editions, this DLC will be free for yall. so 1 new map for free? stop complaining, you get free icing on yall's cake.

If you have a friend that got the special editions, all you gotta do is have them log-on to their account on your ps3(prolly same on 360) and just redownload the DLC in their download history. have em load the game while logged on in their name and boom! sign into your psn again and you'll have old-school zombie maps and any other DLC they had (if you downloaded it along with the Zombie DLC)

Finally! those of you who DIDNT get the special editions or know anymore who did, this is yall's chance to get the oldschool zombie maps.

a LOT of people begged them to make it dlc and once they did. everyone throws a shitfit, if you have it you have it, if you dont you dont! stop bitching about the price of DLC!

yall knew what yall got into by buying into the Call of duty series!

Right, so I buy all the DLC for CoD WaW($30) and now they want $15 for something I already paid for??
Also unlike PS3 you can't game-share.
I expected this to be like 400 points...then again you're right it's CoD.
