Rumors about Nintendo's new home console, codenamed Project Cafe, have been relentless as of late. The rumors that seem to come from multiple different sources have the console sporting a controler with a six inch screen, power substantially more than that of the PlayStation 3, and... Grand Theft Auto 5 as a launch title. How likely is it that Rockstar's GTA5 will make its debut on Project Cafe?

Very likely.

The reason some developers stayed away from the Wii was due to the console's lack of processing power. If rumors turn out to be true, Project Cafe will be substantially more powerful than the PlayStation 3. The console is also supposed to have a similar framework to that of the Xbox 360, making it very easy for developers to make and port games to the console.

GTA5 is rumored to make its first appearance at this year's E3 Expo, and we know for a fact that Project Cafe will be unveiled there as well. Developers such as Rockstar, Valve, and Epic are rumored to already have Project Cafe dev kits, so it wouldn't be a surprise if GTA5 is shown off for Project Cafe in some capacity.

Will GTA5 be a Project Cafe exclusive? No, but it will surely be the definitive version of the game.

Nintendo's next console aka "Project Cafe" isn't a Rumor. Its been confirmed by Nintendo and everybody knows its official.
The only rumor now is how the controller will look and the features and games.

Overall I will be in it! My game Skyward Sword is totally going to be on this console. Ported. Hopefully Nintendo be considering me ,and my Lovely Princess, Zelda, in another Smash Bros. Game. See ya there.
Yours Truly of Hyrule,
Link

P.S. Oh Link.. :-) Love Zelda too!

Hey does this makes coffees too? It's a video game console and a coffee maker. :P

Kidding.

Now, GTA an exclusive of a specific console? Hell no.

For some reason RDR is only available on all consoles but not for PC, dunno why.

Games are dumbed down all the time for it to work on consoles, take Crysis 2 for example.

I don't see GTA being an exclusive timed for a Nintendo console, Nintendo's been more of kid/family console than anything else.

I agree, Gta V wont be an exclusive for Nintendo that is certain. if R* were willing to do that then I think IV would've been a 360 exclusive and the 360 had an established customer base.

the first rdr only came out on console too. its not R* north, its a different studio. its was never really a surprise. certainly a shame though.

Definitive version? Nope. The PC version will.

Oh please do tell how that's even possible.

Anyways, if GTA V is a launch title for the next Nintendo system I will be seriously impressed. Impressed that good ole Nintendo decided to grow a pair and support a title aimed at older audiences.

no it wasnt. it ran almost as well as the consoles and looked 100 times better. you just couldnt max it out on mid range pcs. it stil looked 50 times better than console on low gfx settings though.

gtaIII & san andreas (pc) had the same sort of problems when they were released too.

These POV articles are a pile of wank. I'm not trolling I just don't see the point in stupid speculation. Who gives a fuck about too many Legendary Pokemon or they should make 'X' game give me news not your opinion if I wanted that I would goto a forum.

You're right, Bebop.

I liked QJ Net when they just posted news and nothing else (PoV's).

Really? Because they always inject their points of view into the main articles anyway. I fail to see what these PoV articles do but create more "articles-per-timeframe".

It'll be dumb if GTA 5 was a project cafe exclusive knowing Rockstar does multiplatform with their games. Also, if Project Cafe is substantially powerful than the PS3, then I'll definitely grab it.

We're in 2011 so it's supposed to be faster than a 5-6 year old console.

Nintendo console with Blu-ray? I hope so.

I'd like to see them use blu-ray as well. Assuming Sony (or whoever controls licensing) doesn't scare them away with huge pricing.

In my own personal opinion 4 sucked. I don't like the city & I wanna see 60+ online multiplayer because I like playing online. Also I'd like to see a country/city theme. Not really sure what to add to the franchise but that's what the devs get paid by us consumersbto do. Oh & they need to add way more online games!

Ok & every1 knows nintendo doesnt get hardcore games like this so I'm really praying they won't screw it up. Then it again though it sounds like it's gonna be a launch title & any1 that's been playin games knows what I'm talking about.

Good luck rockstar/T2! Oh & btw I thought china town wars looked great. Didn't ever play it & prolly won't

I think Nintendo know they gonna struggle with the next console, so if they are planning to take some of the hardcore gamer market it only makes sense to pay a s#it load for exclusivity on GTAV. because if they just start off with the same Mario launch titles and ports of Ps3 & 360 shooters people might be slow on the uptake of the new console, but GTAV's like a bugle call that they stepped up to the big leagues, and anyway the competition would be good because Sony already said they only in it for the money now so don't expect much innovation from them and MS do a good job at running things but everything's a bit too minimal, and now Nintendo has a massive bank balance they can afford to give them both a good kick up the arse.
