PoV: Nintendo is missing a great opportunity

By not releasing Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower in North America, Nintendo is missing a huge opportunity to give the Wii a proper exit.

There are only two core games releasing on Wii this year: Kirby and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. The rest of its 2011 lineup is composed of third party shovelware, some movie games, Mario Party 9, and Fortune Street.

There's such a drought this year that releasing those three JRPGs would have made perfect sense. So much sense that Nintendo of Europe is releasing Xenoblade on September 2 and rumors say that The Last Story will make its way over as well.

I have no doubt that Mario Party 9 will outsell those three games combined. That's not the point, though. Nintendo can show how much their fans mean to them by giving them the games they want. But it looks like that won't be happening.
