Videogame Sold For $30k |
Listed in: PSP Tags: aero fighters 3, expensive videogames, rare videogame sold
Videogame collectors, like most collectors, always catch headlines when they make a killer sale for an old, rare and usually quirky unique item.

Neo Geo collector Michael DiCioccio had found out through an ex-SNK US employee that there are 3 copies of a US version of the Neo Geo game ‘Aero Fighters 3’ in storage and have been sitting there for 16 years.
What makes this particularly game interesting is that it wasn’t released in the US, so these US copies must be promo’s, testers or demos. Not specifying exactly how, Michael obtained 2 copies of the game and sold one at an airport for around $30,000. While we don’t know how much Michael spent getting the games, it’s probably fair to say he made a quick, and probably sizeable profit.
Rare videogame goods are a mild fascination of mine and I have amassed a small collection since the 90’s that are enough to get me out of a ransom situation in the future if I need.
Do you guys have any rare videogame memorabilia that you’re hoping to sell in the future?
