Just thought I’d say Happy New Years to everyone on QJ. For many years I've come to this site, originally for the PSP homebrew content (like a lot of you) and have been checking that RSS feed sitting under my address bar every day since.

For me, it’s been a good year…I've been recognizing my love for old games and played through Symphony Of The Night, Banjo-Kazooie, Ocarina Of Time and Final Fantasy 7 again, but also put many hours into newer gems like Minecraft, LA Noire, Portal 2, Amnesia and Skyrim. I've also indulged in indie games a lot more and enjoyed And Yet It Moves a good bit.

How was your 2011 in terms of what you’ve played? I’m hoping you’ll say it was great, because there were some great titles this year that would be a huge shame to have missed out on. I know it feels like the industry is losing character at times, especially when some days have more news stories on lawsuits and hacking dilemmas than new games, but don’t let it get in the way.

I hope you all enjoy 2012 and the games it will bring; we’ve had a huge roster of great game trailers this year including a new Hitman, Metal Gear Rising and Max Payne 3. Not to forget the MGS HD collection is yet to hit PAL regions yet, and around the same time that hits (February), we’ll be getting the Silent Hill HD collection too.

Also the comments and feedback I've seen have been great too, it seems QJ has less console wars than most sites these days, and I’m real happy to have a site I can go to and not see flamewars everywhere I look.
