It is very easy, especially in the world of the Internet, to complain about things. However, it’s much more difficult to come up with constructive suggestions as to how to make those things better. Complaints point out flaws, suggestions offer ways in which to repair those flaws.

Simple, right?

If there’s one thing people love bitching about, it’s Call of Duty. There’s no shortage of forum posts, comment threads and opinion articles centered on how terrible and repetitive the franchise has become. But very few of those posts actually offer any sort of valuable, usable feedback for developers.

So, since we’re nice folks here at QJ and we like listening to your opinion, we figured we’d give you a chance to express yourself on the topic of Call of Duty, and what its development teams can do to make it better. Remember, we’re looking for constructive suggestions—not bitching.

Here’s an example of the two concepts, just so we’re on the same page:

Bitching – “Call of Duty looks like shit, same graphics every year.”

Suggestion – “Switch Call of Duty to Unreal Engine 4 so it looks better.”

That’s about it. Whether you love the franchise or hate it, surely you have some interesting suggestions to make?

it reminds me of the atari days, people dont have any good ideas so they clone other games. i can see gaming shift back to pc's soon, so many fun indie games on steam.

It's actually already happening, at least between the people I know.

They made billions and give nothing to the fans for free
I Dont make Billions and I'm not giving them anything for free!
Let them use that money to make the fans happy instead of their wallets!!!

Fix the game so it actually plays right.

More specifically, the hitbox placements, spawn points, game balance, and killstreaks.

1.revert to the old map design, this also might help fix spawns
2.Start using dedicated severs again so I can go back to PC gaming
3.Black ops 1 spawns
4.NO BIG MAPS this is cod there is absolutely no need for big maps
5.Try to balance the weopons correctly, which I know is actually hard to do but maybe removing some guns would help.I mean come on we don't really need 30+ weopons when most of us only us 5 of them

I don't really care to much about the graphics, if the game play and content is they... I wish you could customize your soldier more like on MAG etc... and have the in depth gun mod'ing like GRFS along with more guns choices the more the better...

Leave the single play game off the disk I never play it but still have to pay for it and you only ever going to play it once... anyways, Just have Spec Ops and MP Online spend the time getting this bigger with more on the disk content instead of DLC this is where people spend most of they time playing...

since id rather play combat training type modes (against A.I. bots, really) than playing online against a bunch of whiny 12 year old glitchers. id say the next iteration of COD should have a better combat training, with the A.I. more complex and capable of capturing points, so that u could therefore play things like domination and headquarters against bots. this was the only real flaw that black ops's combat training had, that and its inability to prestige.

just fix the damn bugs

cod black ops had a stupid bug where if you zoom in an out in the "sky eye" mission your ps3 frozes and you have to reset, the only way to pass that mission was not using zoom

I dont care if activision likes 360 more, if you are going to make million$ from ps3 users there is no excuse to not fix something like that on the first week after release

sony charges about $30-50k per patch normally, with the large install base of COD games i would assume that they charge even more since they charge to sign and distribute.

ideally they would drop console support with the next get and everyone would move to google TV and HTPC, that way they do not get raped by console distribution fees (whole sale the games are $40 then $15-18 for signing and console approval, that makes each sale on steam worth more than double a console sale. then on steam patches are free and take less than 24hours to get out, you have a free platform for the user and you get the vastly better controls of the KB/mouse or you could use a controller if you wanted. and did i mention that blackops and mw3 had more week one players on steam than the each of the consoles, making the pc market worth more than both consoles combined, and that a game playing PC is cheaper than a 360 with 2 years of live or a ps3 with accessories.

Build a new engine and don't create another Modern Warfare.

Simple as that.

Building a new engine from the ground up would take years,They should do what the OP said and use the unreal 4,it looks amazing and since it's unreal it'll play amazing too

I also really like what you said about MW it died on mw2 but they still make sequels just because the names popular

That's fine too (using UE4), they're stuck on that damn modified idEngine3 since CoD1.

Indeed, they keep using the MW "brand" cause they know they'll make money, big money..

I so hope they're done with MW, MW3 was just a DLC and they sold it as a "new game".. Plus they keep releasing DLCs..
I really hope they'll look back at the great games they've made and stop paying so much attention to the damn multiplayer.
