PoV: What fighting game franchise would you want to see resurrected?

Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur. These are just three fighting game franchises that keep getting new iterations. The first one, in particular, is notorious for the many "upgrades" that Capcom keeps churning out.

These franchises are sure things, so it's not surprising that the companies behind them keep making more entries. What about franchises that have apparently died out, though? Those could end up being hits as well, especially if they already have built-in fanbases.

Darkstalkers, another Capcom series, is a perennial favorite. Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono has time and again expressed interest in making a new entry in the franchise but so far nothing has panned out.

Rare's Killer Instinct is another series that deserves another look. Microsoft currently owns the franchise, but based on their approach to Rare's back catalog it doesn't seem like we'll see a new entry anytime soon. Rumors have suggested that a Kinect entry will be making its way to Xbox 360, but nothing concrete has been announced yet.

What I really want to see though is a motion-controlled HD entry in the old Bushido Blade series. While motion controls don't seem to lend itself well to fighting games at first glance, Bushido Blade's unique one-hit-kill system can make good use of the motion controllers available today.

One thing that I think could pose a problem, however, is the difference in speed between the game's many weapons. A naginata would be harder to swing than a katana, and translating that into a motion-controlled game could prove challenging.

Rise of the Robots!!!!!!! No, not really. I am sure most will agree that Killer Instinct needs a reboot badly.

Darkstalkers! I was a little sad to see that so much attention was made towards the street fighter series while darkstalkers was left in the dark.

Personally, I would not like to see Ono touch another game. He and his lapdog Seth Killian should pack their bags and get off Capcom property (and hopefully it's fast enough for Killian to bite Ono's d**k off on the way out).

Anyways, back to the topic...I'd like to see Darkstalkers, Killer Instinct, Bloody Roar, and RIVAL SCHOOLS make a comeback. :D

I would love a Bushido Blade III, other than that no other fighting games would interest me.

Well I have a few games I will like to see them resurrected and they are:
Rival School Saga
Samurai Shodown 64 & 64 part 2 (they were for the Hyper Neo Geo 64, but I will like to see a remake of this game in the new gen consoles)
Darkstalkers
X-Men vs Street Fighter
Killer Instinct ( but please make it for all the consoles, please)
Plasma Sword or Star Gladiator
Power Stone
Ready to Rumble
Battle Arena Toshinden
Bushido Blade
Star Wars Masters of Teras Kasi (but with better graphics and more character and special moves)
Clayfighter
and many others

Not exactly a fighting game, but I would love to see a new iteration of or something similar game play wise to Spawn: in the Demon's Hand.

I would also love to see a new Power Stone game. Rumors were swirling about a new PS for the 360, but that was in the system's relative infancy... so if the rumors were true, the project has likely been scrapped. /sadpanda
