PoV: Are you looking forward for another James Bond game?

During Activision's Q1 2011 financial call yesterday, the firm revealed that they are currently working on a new James Bond game that will be hitting shelves some time this year.

According to Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg: “For the balance of the year, we plan to launch games based on the best-selling X-Men and Spider-Man franchises, James Bond and the toy phenomenon Bakugan as well as the latest release in the long-standing Cabela’s Hunting franchise, which we’re expanding this year to include new peripherals and an incredible Kinect experience.”

The last Bond game, Blood Stone, created by the now defunct studio Bizarre Creations, received mixed reviews overall. Personally, I like Blood Stone as it somewhat captured the feel of the James Bond series right of the bat. Although there are some hiccups, the game was fun and the visuals are amazing. I just hope, whoever will pick up the slack left by Bizarre will do justice to the franchise and further improve what Blood Stone has to offer.

In fact Goldeneye on the Wii was the best Bond game in ages, perhaps since the last Goldeneye.
Given the amount of games in the intervening time thats a bit worrying!
But Goldeneye Wii captured everything we remembered (through rose tinted spex) about the old game and made it even better, not to mention being one of the best non-COD4 fps games on the market to replicate that old Infinity Ward "feel", if you know what I mean.

Bloodstone was really good, except it ended on a cliff hanger and then Activision closed down Bizarre, so any hopes for a sequel or any of that mystical promised DLC was gone with them.

I hope they keep with the 3r person 007 games, I think it works better than FP.

I guess in summary, yes, I am looking forward to another 007 games, seeing as I am a big fan.

Keep the 3rd person view, add grenades, bloodstone multiplayer missed those.
