Looks like the PlayStation Vita's lineup just got a whole lot more iteresting.
A new portable installment of Syphon Filter is currently in development for the PlayStation Vita. According to the Official PlayStation Magazine UK (via sillegamer), the project is currently being handled by SCE Bend, the studio, which is also responsible for developing the Syphon Filter series along with the 2009 Resistance: Retribution as well as the upcoming Uncharted: Golden Abyss. "SCE Bend is currently hard at work on Uncharted: Golden Abyss, but its hush-hush Vita project is a return to Syphon Filter," says the mag.
SCE Bend has already proved themselves with their excellent PSP adaptation of the Syphon Filter series and the recent Resistance portable spin-off. Golden Abyss is also poised to deliver, based on the recent previews and gameplay clips that Sony have shown so far. Now, if this true, looks like we have another game to watch out for. Sony really seems to be doing everything right for the Vita at the moment, and I'm really impressed.
