The trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl |
Ó
Chekov: Well, we've probably got the preparations all done for radiation shielding. Vlad, can you do a quick number crunch on how good our protection is?
Vlad: Hmmm... I'd say we'd have a 99.9% chance of never having a nuclear mess on our hands. Repeating, of course.
Chekov: Good Vlad. Now, all we have to do is dismantle the "Nuclear Apocalypse" button and we're all...
Leeroy: LEEROY! JENKILONSLIKOV! *slams on the red button marked "Nuclear Apocalypse"*
*Insert nuclear screwup here*
Chekov: Damn it, Leeroy! We just said not to touch that! Now look, we're all... still alive? Sweet! Well, since the plant's all messed up, maybe we should head back home. Hey, why's the scenery changing so quick?
We're pretty sure that's not the way Chernobyl went, but in the alternate timeline for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl, it could have happened that way. There's not a lot of other ways that people could survive that blast and happen to live with really bad mutations otherwise, right?
While we're waiting for the game to come out in March, feel free to see this trailer for the game. It's a montage of sorts between the moments of the real Chernobyl event and the interspersing of GSC Game World's alternate history during the latter half of the trailer. Till then, someone better tell THQ to make sure we get the best product possible.
Just remember. War and death are real. The holocaust is real. We might joke about it, but it's still a serious subject you might want to research on so you can distinguish fact from fiction.
