War is ugly. Most people know that. When it comes to RTS games on the PC though, the wars just keep looking better and better, and one of the best-looking new RTS games we've seen so far is THQ and Gas Powered Games' Supreme Commander.
In the game, it's the 37th century and the galaxy is being torn apart by a power struggle between three rival factions. In keeping with the spirit of rival factions everywhere, each of the three is vying for total domination - something that only can be achieved by eradicating the other two factions from the face of the galaxy. The scale of this game is out of this world, featuring epic-sized battles and intense strategic and tactical gameplay.
Anyway, instead of making you wade through a bunch of letters, words and sentences, we're giving you guys a video of Supreme Commander today. Check it out by clicking on the "download" link below. It's pretty short but hot damn is it sweet. The shadows and detail in this game look pretty damn good, and it gives the whole thing a more sinister sheen than the usual run-of-the-mill RTS games out there.
Supreme Commander will launch all the way to stores in Europe on January 1, 2007. Gamers in the US will have to wait for the official US release date to be revealed, but like the vid says, it's likely to come in early 2007.
