Stop the presses: StarCraft II screenshot rush

With the sequel of the most popular RTS game in gaming history having just been announced only moments earlier, here's an assault of fresh StarCraft II screenshots to satisfy the inner Zerg, Protoss and Terran in all of us. Just look at those unit graphics! It's enough to drive a swarm into frenzy!

As you can see, everything's been revamped - new units, new graphics, new effects - but it's still distinctly StarCraft. Which is good, considering that detracting too much from the original material makes for a rather risky sequel. But any and all fears of drastic, game-breaking changes or touches may be as good as done away with (remember the rumor of World of StarCraft?). We only have to wait for more details, which we hope Blizzard won't be too stingy with.

And if you're wondering, yes, we're all bowled over with Blizzard's big surprise - some of us are even rewinding the trailers again and again just to soak it all in. In any case, we'll update you as fast as we can of any and all developments that come our way about StarCraft II.
