The folks over at Irrational Games have released a heap of new screenshots as they up the campaign ahead of E3. Check them out below.
The original Bioshock was released back in August 2007 on PC, PS3 and XBOX360. Set in the undersea city of Rapture, it pit players against an assortment of viciously weird bad guys with names like Big Daddy, Little Sister, and splicer.
The title won rave reviews, with a metacritic average of 96, and spawned a sequel that placed the player in the hulking shoes of a prototype Big Daddy.
Bioshock infinite switches the setting this time, taking the player up into the stratosphere to the floating city of Columbia where players will assume the role of 'former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt' and fight in 'high speed Sky-Line battles (and) engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds.'
With its pedigree Infinite is already turning heads, and if these new screens are anything to go by, the touts of ‘Game of the Year’ certainly aren’t unwarranted.
