Not waiting forever for Duke Nukem Forever |

Conflicting, yet interesting. This is the impression we got when we searched for confirmation as to the real release date of Duke Nukem Forever. According to ever-reliable Wikipedia, it will be out "when it's done." But according to Best Buy online, it will be out on "1/2/2007." By golly, that's just a month away from now.So how come we haven't heard much from developer 3D Realms and publisher Take Two Interactive on this? Beats us. What we do know is that Forever is the next game in the popular Duke Nukem series. Who is Duke? An action hero with big muscles, big guns, and big humor.
What else is big here? Oh no, we don't mean that. We're referring to the enhanced interactivity and realism, variety and fun. Anyhow, before all these speculations grow out of proportion, we'll just end this with the promise that we'll keep you posted on this game.

Duke 3D is a classic, this should be insanely good.
Unless, of course it's just an evil scheme by 3D Realms: The "Forever" refers to the waiting of eager fans....for there is no game!!!!!

The release date of this game is "When it's done". Anything else, and we mean anything else is someone's speculation. There is no date. We don't know any date. If you have a friend who claims they have "inside info", or there's some game news site, or some computer store at the mall who claims they know - they do not. They are making it up. There is no date. Period.
It isn't only Best Buy who's claiming a January release date for DNF... if you should happen to spin by an EB Games in the near future, you'll notice that their current issue of EBTV which should be playing in-store will say "Check out these upcoming PC titles for the month of January" and lists Duke Nukem Forever.
