World in Conflict update: patch coming this week |
Ó
Massive Entertainment is cooking up a huge patch for its unique real-time strategy game, World in Conflict, that should go live later this week. Current players will be happy to find some balancing tweaks, while annoying bugs that will soon be gone won't be missed. Nifty features are also coming to pimp out your profile. The best part for hardcore PC gamers though, would have to be the performance upgrades for DirectX10 video cards.
When the patch comes, your player profile will have a guest book, the option to add a motto, and even include web-links. Other useful features added are auto-kick of idle players and the ability to kick players that don't play nice. Those who are hammered out of the server can also be banned.
Of course, there's also something from the patch for high-end machines and their owners who want visuals that make the purchase of expensive graphic cards worth it. Performance on DirectX10 cards are supposed to improve, and we're hoping that means more than a minor framerate fix.
