I love SimCity. I don’t think it’s much of a secret around these parts, since every time a new SimCity story crops up I gush all over it. But hey, everyone has their favorite franchises, right? The latest game, which is a complete rebuild from the ground up, is due in spring—and I couldn’t be more excited.
Anyway, if you’re not quite sold on the latest iteration of SimCity, or just want to watch something that is extremely pretty for the next minute or so, you should check out this short clip of SimCity running at its highest speed:
It’s sort of amazing when you look at what SimCity is about to become and compare it to the earlier games in the franchise. Of course, there are a zillion ways this thing could go wrong – starting with always-on DRM – but for now it looks like EA and Maxis have cooked up quite a lovely title.
