Amazon has recently debuted Amazon Game Studios with its first game called Living Classics.  Living Classics was made available to gamers this past Monday. Living Classics follows a fox family that encounters highlighted scenes from their favorite books including such titles such as Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard Of Oz and King Arthur. Gamers are then tasked to help bring the foxes together by moving objects.

Amazon has extended its reach to social media gamers with a Facebook fan page which so far has less than 200 likes. Living Classics can be played for free on Facebook.

Amazon is looking to carve into Zynga’s fanbase and revenue. Zynga of course is known for mega games such as Farmville and Cityville and a host of others. Zynga’s stock, however, fell more than 40% after their release of a disastrous second quarter earnings report.

In addition to financial woes and the debut of Amazon Game Studios Zynga is facing a lawsuit from Electronic Arts who is citing copyright infringement. EA claims that Zynga copied the likeness of The Sims Social for their game Farmville.
