Watch: Natural Selection 2: Jetpacks

If you've never played the original Natural Selection. I highly recommend it...as well as this trailer, since it has jetpacks and is the sequel to Natural Selection. Two things, which will probably be awesome in the near future.

Natural Selection has a place in my heart that's quite special as I spent a lot of my teen years hanging around in a net cafe tucked into the corner of the mall playing Natural Selection. Turning up after 3pm with friends on a repeated basis that probably could have funded our entire University education.

Back then the game was simply about a series of aliens growing and upgrading killing a group of soldiers or a group of soldiers killing a series of evolving creatures in a bunch of bases. It was like that thirty minutes of Aliens where the crew set up a bunch of ways to kill aliens but seeing it from the other side as the Xenomorphs went through their different stages...and then killed everyone and everything.

Despite the incredibly long development time between both 1 and 2, the hype still seems to be continuing strong and will eventually peak this June or July when the game gets an official release on Steam. You can pre-order the game right now, right here .
