Watch: Agent 47 kills people in Hitman: Absolution E3 2011 trailer

IO Interactive gave fans of the Hitman seriesa new game to look forward to last month with the official announcement of Hitman: Absolution. At E3 2011, the company and publisher Square Enix further whetted appetites wth the release of the game's E3 trailer. Check it out below.

Hitman: Absolution for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 follows Agent 47 on his most dangerous contract to date. Betrayed by those he once trusted — and now hunted by the police — he suddenly finds himself at the center of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world.

IO Interactive game director Tore Blystaad says that Absolution will be the first time they take Agent 47 "on a personal journey which allows [IO] to explore other parts of the Hitman fantasy." The devs promise both a familiar and yet significantly dfferent experience from past Hitman games. Hitman Absolution is curently slated for release sometime next year.
