Tortuga, a port founded in 1492 by Europe shortly following Christopher Columbus' discovery of America. Tortuga, so named because of its resemblance to a tortoise shell, was a hotzone between the colonial superpowers of the time - Britain, France, and Spain - and was the focal point of the buccaneer era. End of history lesson.
Tortuga also happens to be the focal point of Tortuga: Two Treasures, set to come out in March. The game puts the player behind the helm of Thomas ‘Hawk’ Blythe, a 24-year-old pirate serving under the infamous Blackbeard, so expect plenty of cannon and sword battles, both on land and sea.
