THQ’s Humble Bundle Clears $3 Million |
Listed in: News Tags: financial trouble, humble bundle, THQ, wells fargo
THQ hasn’t been doing so well as of late, and many in the industry (myself included) have tagged it as the next big giant on the precipice of failure. But the company isn’t about to go down without a fight, and its last-minute idea to line its coffers with some extra change seems to have been a solid one indeed.

Last week, THQ launched the Humble THQ Bundle, which included some of the studio’s most popular games and allowed players to set whatever price they wanted for all of them. It did spark a minor internet controversy due to Humble Bundles usually being reserved for indie games and DRM-free titles, but that forum and Reddit-centered arguing doesn’t seem to have hurt sales in the slightest.
As of my writing this, THQ has generated $3,296,171.41. No too shabby. It may not be enough to save the company, but it could certainly lessen the sting when Wells Fargo comes calling on January 15.
Did you snag some cheapo THQ games?

Still though, an incredible bundle for the asking prices. I can't believe some people were complaining that it needs steam or doesn't have Linux support, its not like this is a typical indie bundle.
