Third Fallout: New Vegas add-on delayed

When Bethesda first announced the release dates for Fallout: New Vegas' downloadable add-ons back in May, Old World Blues was given a mid-June launch window. We only have about a week left before June ends, but there's still been no sign of the expansion. It turns out that Bethesda has decided to delay it to the middle of July instead.

The new announcement on the company's official blog gives Old World Blues a new July 19th release date. All three platforms that Fallout: New Vegas is on -- PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 -- will be getting the add-on simultaneously. Before it goes live, Bethesda will also release a general title update that "will bring improvements to performance and stability in major areas."

In Old World Blues, the Courier somehow ends up as a lab rat in an experiment that created some of the Mojave's mutated creatures. Players will need to scour the Pre-War research centers of the Big Empty in search of technology to turn the tables on their kidnappers or join forces with them against an even greater threat.

Old World Blues' new release date suggests that the fourth add-on, Lonesome Road, is being pushed out of its original July release window as well.
