The Witcher 2 version 2.0 detailed |
Listed in: News Tags: CD Projekt, cd projekt red, the witcher 2

CD Projekt RED may be hard at work on porting The Witcher 2 to Xbox 360, but that doesn't mean they're done with the PC version just yet. The dev team behind the action role playing game is still putting in a lot of effort into making the PC title even better.
Currently in the pipeline is version 2.0, which is being planned for a Q1 2012 release like the Xbox 360 version. The update will bring three new features, including a new "dark" mode that not only ups the difficulty and introduces all-new quests but also rewards players with new, "dark" items.
The update will also add an arena mode that sees Geralt fighting endless waves of enemies. On the other end of the difficulty scale is a new, more intuitive introductory tutorial system for new players.
Other changes being added in the version 2.0 update are over 40 bugfixes, nine new downloadable missions, and dozens of new lines of dialogue, character models, music, and locations.
With all those things in store for PC players, it looks like 2.0 will be quite the upgrade indeed. It's quite refreshing to see CD Projekt is going to such lengths to reward the playerbase that propelled them to success.
