The pwnage begins: Team Fortress 2 Beta (PC) now available

If you happen to have pre-purchased the PC port of the Orange Box via Valve Corporation's Steam, you won't have to wait until October 9  (It's a different launch date for the PS3) to enjoy a slice of the cartoony fun that is Team Fortress 2 (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3). The content distributor is letting the word out that the game's multiplayer beta for the PC is now available for play.

And as you guys have seen in the previous trailers and videos, you'll be thrown into the fray as one of several hilarious character classes, each with their own personality quirk and means to blow the opposition into chunky smithereens. Though as we said earlier, this offer is only good for those who pre-purchased their Orange Box from Steam - We advise would-be buyers/players to visit the Steam site for further details (via the source link). The good news is that if you do decided to purchase the Orange Box via Steam, you're entitled to a 10% of the pack's original price tag of US$ 50.
