The Master Race Is Now $999 More Masterful |

The PC gaming community have been running a little dry on updates lately, so it pleases me to present to you Nvidia’s new graphics card, the GeForce GTX 690, the beast that Nvidia dubs their new ‘flagship’ card.
Running $1 under a grand, the $999 graphics card apparently has the power of two GTX 680’s running in SLI. The exterior of the case is cast in aluminium and it looks like it deserves the hardcore look.
Performance tests against the GX 680 show that on current games it’s almost twice as efficient, with roughly 90% increase on the 11 games Nvidia tested.

The specs are as follows:
CUDA Cores: 3072
Base Clock: 915 MHz
Boost Clock: 1019 MHz
Memory Configuration: 4GB / 512-bit GDDR5
Memory Speed : 6.0 Gbps
Power Connectors: 8-pin + 8-pin
TDP: 300W
Outputs: 3x DL-DVI
Mini-DisplayPort: 1.2
Bus Interface: PCI Express 3.0
If you want to pick it up you can read all about it (with animated graphics to help you understand its power) at the official site here.

you do realise that all comparison charts are theorhetical, and also dont take SLI performance into comparison, in real life the 295 cant compete with the 680, and with the 690 being up to 90% better performance, the 295 is finally starting to look a little dated.
but yeah the 295 is still a powerhouse

Well no shit, the 690 has TWO GPU's! It's a dual GPU card. So comparing it to a single GPU is a total waste of time and the chart you have here is complete crap. They should be ashamed of themselves for comparing apples and oranges.
Benchmark it against 2 680's and you'll hardly see a difference. In fact since it's only 90% then I suspect that 2 of most 680 flavors will beat it. However, 2 680's will run you the same price or more depending on flavor.

Sounds like a Biased chart to me.
Especially looking at the Nvidia forums that the v.sync is causing stuttering in Skyrim..
