The Half-Life 3 Protest Results |
Listed in: News Tags: Half Life 2, half life 3, half life 3 protest
Remember earlier this week when I posted an article about a Steam group calling for gamers to play Half-Life 2 at a dedicated time to get Valve’s attention and answer about Half-Life 3’s status?

Well that’s over now, and although there’s been no word from Valve about this, the ‘protest’ (it’s not really a protest, but a ‘call for communication’) did indeed rack up the numbers.
By the time the period for playing began, there were 3,000 players. By the time the period came to an end, there were 13,000. That’s pretty ‘cool’. Even if Valve has yet to publicly acknowledge that the event even existed.
Half-Life2 has hit the top 20 of Steam games and peaked at number 11. The organizer of the event wrote that he’s impressed with it, saying that in his eyes the event was ‘a success for everyone’.
He also said that they’re ‘nowhere near done’, and that are in the process of planning new activities.
Who knows what they’re planning next, but if you’re not happy with their last idea, feel free to head over to their Steam group and give them your ideas for a ‘call for communication’.
