Listed in: News Tags: Microsoft, wifi hotspot creator, windows 8
If you've got a snazzy new Windows 8 PC, odds are the new and different features might be just a little bit mind boggling to you. Thanks to this top-notch app however, networking just got as easy as the click of a button. In just a few short seconds, you could be on your way to setting up your own wired PC as a wireless hotspot.

If you happen to be somewhere without a wireless router but are still looking to snag a strong signal for a wireless device then WiFi HotSpot Creator is the app for you! Recently updated for Windows 8 support, this free ad-supported utility lets you set up a hotspot quickly and easily. Sure you could have always configured something using the netsh command in command prompt, but when something is as easy as this there's really no need to bother.
Once installed all you've got to do is set up a SSID, select your desired network card, and create any password you would like to protect the connection. From there on in, it's as friendly as hitting the start button in the program. Any laptop or phone should be able to pick up the SSID and connect to it just like any other wireless solution available.
In general, this may not be super functional to a lot of you, but for those that need it, a cost-free app like this can sure be a life saver. At least there;s one thing that works easily in Windows 8 right?
