STALKER License Changes Hands |

We’ve been through quite a ride with the STALKER franchise over the last year or so. The sequel has been in the works for some time, but varying levels of development hell an internal drama have stopped it from becoming a reality. First it was on, then it was off, then it was on, then it was off, rinse, repeat.
Last we heard, STALKER 2 was cancelled completely, and the dudes that were working on it moved on to a new company and a new title. But, as of today, hope lives on. Again.

The STALKER license has been picked up by bitComposer Games. bitComposer is the same publisher that managed Jagged Alliance: Back in Action and Stalker: Call of Pripryat, so it seems as though the series is in good hands:
“bitComposer Entertainment AG has acquired the exclusive worldwide rights for future video game adaptations of the acclaimed STALKER. brand from Boris Natanovich Strygatsky.”
Now, we don’t know if we’ll ever see the STALKER 2 that was in development when everything at GSC collapsed, but this change in licensing does indicate that more games are on the way.
What do you think?
