Sonic Generations confirmed for PC release |
Listed in: News Tags: Direct2Drive, green man gaming, Sega, sonic generations

Sega have seldom brought Sonic games to PCs but they're making an exception for Sonic Generations. After much rumor and speculation, digital download services Direct2Drive and Green Man Gaming now have it up for pre-order on their sites. The latter has also revealed the game's minimum and recommended system requirements. Here are the setups you will be shooting for:
Minimum Requirements:
Microsoft Windows 7/Vista/XP Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4200 (2x2.0GHz) or AMD equivalent 2GB RAM (Windows 7/XP)/3GB RAM (Windows Vista) NVIDIA GeForce 8800 / ATI Radeon HD 2900 11 GB free hard drive space
Recommended Requirements:
Microsoft Windows 7 Intel Core i5 @ 2.66 GHz / AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3.0 GHz 3GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 / ATI Radeon HD 5850 11 GB free hard drive space
Word of Sonic Generations for PC first came out back in May, but the PC version was subsequently removed from Sega's earnings report a little while later. Direct2Drive has the game's release date listed as TBD, but Green Man Gaming's page calims it will be out on November 4th. That may just be a reflection of the console versions' launch dates, though.
